The orientable keel

A deeper swivelling keel (4.50 m) and a weighed down bulb, with an angle of clearance of 45 ¨, completed by central ballasts, assure a better tacking stability   and offer the capacity to put the weight on the back, in the breeze.

Hull

It  is made in preimpregnated carbon. The front   is in monolithique. A sandwich of Nomex carbon is used for the aft, the topsides and the deck.We obtain so a good solidity and stability of the hull put in work by JMV industries (Cherbourg).

A new hull

It is thiner at the floating waterline, more curving in the topsides and globally more narrow. We have so a powerful boat in the breeze and working well on the wind, thanks to its sharpness. The frontal volume limits the charging and the heeling balance facilitates the control, in particular on automatic pilot.

Evolutions for the safety

The boat has a slightly more moderate width (5.60m), a marked deck camber, a roof and a revolved centre lowered.

A sail plan with an orientable waterproof mast

The orientable mast  resumes what was finalized on Aquitaine Innovations after an agreement with Yves Parlier and Mike Golding to make progress this type of rigging.
The mast is waterproof, that, added to the mobile keel allows to have a self-rightable boat .
The boat is equipped with a main sail of great elongation, of a gennaker with a fixed boomsprit, of a genoa roller furler, of a  reef staysail on snap shackles... Everything was made to save the weight on the high parts. Fittings is simple and effective.
