Hull and construction are the same as Group
4 and Somewhere . The hull
is realized in preimpregnated carbon. It is monolithique in front to
resist to the shocks. A sandwich of Nomex carbon is used for the aft, the topsides and the
deck. Thin at the flotting waterline, curving in the topsides and globally more narrow than the precedents boats, it gives a powerful boat in the breeze and working well tacking thanks to its sharpness. The bow's volume limits the charging and the heeling balance facilitates the control, in particular under self steering.

| The rigging is traditional
by the shapes because the mast is fixed with hung on shrouds on the hull. A progress was made for this rigging : the top is in textile, what give a great weighty economy in the topsides so a better stability. |

The keel is fixed. It is held in the hull by two rig frames, wish are well built in on the hull. It contributes to the rigidifying of the fin and of the reducing of its overpressure.

The races Gartmore September 26 98 took the Around Alone 98/99 departure in Charleston. He dismasts February 11 99 during the 3-rd stage of Around Alone, come back to Auckland and he is foced to withdraw.
