Designed in 98 for Raphaël Dinelli, Sodebo had a swinging and rotating mast without shroud. With this rigging Thomas Coville won the Route du Café 99. But this type of rigging was forbidden for the Vendée-Globe 2000.
 

This boat has been modified at CDK shipyard in 2002 :

Rigging changed
keel changed
new water ballast
a little center board forward added
steering system changed

Sebastien Josse choices a twin rudder system adjustable (the rudder raises when it crashes something)

VMI has a fixed keel, light water ballasts. VMI feels comfortable on reaching.
