Vendée Globe 2008
New open 60's

We are designing three new open 60's :

Générali for Yann Eliès http://www.yannelies.fr/
Hugo Boss for Alex Thomson
http://www.at-racing.co.uk/
Brit Air pour Armel
Le Cleach

In accordance with the evolution of the racing boats and their usage,
leveraging the most recent weather research,
refering to our previous experiences and considering the general evolution of sailing,
we have started our new designs from a blank sheet of paper at the theoretical level.

We have completed a testing campaign at the B600 towing tank in Val de Reuil in conjunction with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) calculations,VPP and course simulations.
We have already selected some realistic boats. They have little ressemblance with our previous design.

Depending on their personality, Yann, Alex and Armel chose the boat which is best appropriate to them.

The boats are calculated to go as fast as possible on a realistic Vendée Globe course,
with an emphasis on the transition phases between the weather systems (for example of the trade winds of the south to the depressionary systems).
In these zones one can waste or save time. Our goal : to sail faster in the unstable systems.

We also carry out research on cheap energy production :
solar panels
sustanable energy.
