With the Bénéteau shipyard and the FFV (french sailing federation) the Groupe Finot is designing the successor for the First-Class 8.

The latter, designed 1982, has been built until 1994, more than 1000 units has been produced.

Construction

Monolithic construction
Hull and deck are constructed using the infusion technology, to achieve regularity of the weight and the shape.
These qualities are essential for a racing boat.

The ballast is a swing keel like the older First-Class, that allows to scrape the bottom of the keel without too much damage.
The boat will be resin-coated, for a better shape accuracy.

A large cockpit allows the crew to move easily
