The progress
of the boat: |
|
- Stable of shape,
It well "carries the cloth" as close
hauled as reaching.
- The hull doesn't
deform much close hauled and allows well
to control the boat.
|
The control: |
| |
- From the cockpit, the crew
sits well and has a panoramic vision of
the whole horizon.
- Every manoeuvres return
to the cockpit.
- The engine is placed in a
opening of the transom.

The accomodations: |
| |
|
Lune de Mai includes:
- Four berths,
(of which two are central and two are placed at
stern)
- A small folding
galley
- A table on
standions
- One foreward toilet
cabin
|
The security: |
| |
| The boat is not
certainly intended to face all the winds and all the
seas. It is conceived for the coastal cruise
by easy to handle weather but is stable
enough to bring in to the port with a wind from
25 to 30 knots. The boat laid flat on the water
rights itself easily by light weather. On the other hand,
under a wind from 25 to 30 knots it can not get up. To
face these conditions, a boat of more than 6 metres and
more than one ton of displacement is needed. |
The structure: |
| |
| Lune de Mai is
structured by a backing moulded stuck in
the bottom which stops halfway of the plating. It holds
the plating and carries the weight of the ballast.
An aft partition and two partitions abeam of the mast as
well as the standion give a boat that will not
lose its shape. |
